Use five simple candle designs to introduce Advent hope, peace, joy and love, followed by a Christmas picture centered on Jesus. These 5 child-friendly coloring pages use friendly cartoon artwork, clear outlines and open spaces for crayons. Choose a picture for a short activity at home, or print the collection for a Sunday school group.
Start by reading Luke 2:1-20 together. The references beside each design link to Bible Gateway so an adult can check the wording and context before discussing the picture.
An Advent wreath is a later Christian tradition, not an object described in Luke's birth account. Candle names, colors and order vary by church; these pages use hope, peace, joy, love and a central Christ candle. Children can color printed flames; real candles require adult handling. Clothing, facial features and background details are artistic interpretations. The images are original AI-assisted illustrations reviewed for this collection.
Choose one page each week. Count the candles, say the theme word and connect it to the linked passage about Jesus. Let children choose their colors and talk at their own pace. A question such as “What do you notice?” can be more useful than asking them to guess a particular answer. Older children can find the passage in a Bible while younger children listen to an adult read.
Each design has a separate one-page A4 PDF. The complete PDF contains the same 5 pictures in the order above, without extra cover pages. The ZIP includes the individual files and the complete PDF; it does not add more designs.
The WebP images are screen previews. Use the PDF files for printing. You may print copies for your own home, classroom or church group. When sharing the resource, share the article link rather than redistributing the files, and do not resell the designs.
