A few minutes of practice together

Read the words together first. Choose a comfortable letter size, then let your child trace or copy a little at a time. Short verses suit beginners; choose longer passages as writing confidence grows. Print at 100% / actual size on the paper selected above.

How do I find a suitable verse?

Search the 500 selected verses by reference or words, then filter by theme and length. “Matthew 12” matches chapter 12; “Matthew 12:35” matches that exact verse. This is a curated collection, not a search of the entire Bible. Short selections have up to 12 words, medium selections have 13–24, and long selections have 25 or more. These are length labels, not reading-age assessments. Read each selection with your child and use the passage link for context.

Can I type my own text?

Yes. Choose “Use my own text” and enter up to 500 characters, with an optional title or reference of up to 60 characters. Custom entries are labelled “Custom text” on the worksheet and are not verified Bible quotations. Names, prayers and short sentences also work. Unsupported characters are flagged before download.

Which writing mode should I choose?

Trace only gives light-gray letters to follow. Trace then copy places a blank writing row after each tracing row. Copy independently gives a smaller text model and blank writing rows. Choose by your child’s current writing confidence.

Are these dotted letters or cursive?

These are light-gray print letters in the Andika literacy font, with writing guidelines. They are not dotted letters or cursive and do not include stroke-direction arrows.

Which Bible translation is used?

The 500 library selections are full verses from the World English Bible, 66-book edition (WEBP), verified against the official downloaded source on 30 October 2026. It is public domain. Some verses continue a sentence from nearby verses; use the passage link for context. BibleGateway links are provided for comparison; wording in other editions can differ. Custom text does not use a verified translation label.

Is my text saved?

No. Your choices and typed text stay in this tab and are not uploaded or saved by the worksheet maker. Refreshing or leaving the page clears them. The downloaded PDF is saved on your device. You can also choose “Clear my text” while using the tool.

Can I print these for a class?

Yes, print library worksheets for your family, classroom or church group. For custom text, make sure you have permission to reproduce what you enter. For a longer coloring activity, try our Bible Coloring Book Builder.
