About these coloring pages

Color, read and talk together

Tell Mark's account through six scenes: a crowded house, four helpers, an opening in the roof, Jesus' words, healing and praise. These 6 child-friendly coloring pages use friendly cartoon artwork, clear outlines and open spaces for crayons. Choose a picture for a short activity at home, or print the collection for a Sunday school group.

Start by reading Mark 2:1-12 together. The references beside each design link to Bible Gateway so an adult can check the wording and context before discussing the picture.

What is in the printable collection?

  1. Jesus teaches in a crowded house: People crowd into a house in Capernaum to hear Jesus teach. Mark 2:1-2.
  2. Four people carry the mat: Four people bring a man on a sleeping mat to Jesus. Mark 2:3.
  3. An opening in the roof: Unable to get through the crowd, the helpers lower the man through an opening in the roof. Mark 2:4.
  4. Jesus speaks of forgiveness: Jesus speaks of forgiveness and answers the scribes' questions. Mark 2:5-10.
  5. The man gets up: Jesus tells the man to get up, take his mat and go home. Mark 2:11-12.
  6. The people praise God: The man carries his mat out, and the amazed people glorify God. Mark 2:12.

Keep the Bible and the illustrations distinct

Mark describes four people carrying the man's mat. Jesus first speaks of forgiveness and then tells the man to get up, carry his bed and go home. Disability is not treated as proof of personal wrongdoing, and this story should not be used to blame someone who is unwell. Clothing, facial features and background details are artistic interpretations. The images are original AI-assisted illustrations reviewed for this collection.

A simple activity for parents and teachers

Count the four helpers and ask how they worked together. Invite children to describe practical ways to welcome and support someone. Let children choose their colors and talk at their own pace. A question such as “What do you notice?” can be more useful than asking them to guess a particular answer. Older children can find the passage in a Bible while younger children listen to an adult read.

Download and print

Each design has a separate one-page A4 PDF. The complete PDF contains the same 6 pictures in the order above, without extra cover pages. The ZIP includes the individual files and the complete PDF; it does not add more designs.

  1. Download the PDF you want to print.
  2. Choose A4 portrait, or use Fit to page for US Letter.
  3. Check the print preview and print in black and white at normal or high quality.

The WebP images are screen previews. Use the PDF files for printing. You may print copies for your own home, classroom or church group. When sharing the resource, share the article link rather than redistributing the files, and do not resell the designs.

Questions about these pages

How many different designs are included?

Do children need to read independently?

No. An adult can read the scene titles and linked Bible passages aloud. Choose a simpler picture for younger children and allow extra time for detailed areas.

Are these a replacement for reading the Bible?
